What the class entails
Watercolor Basics makes peace with paint’s wild streak. Flat and graded washes, wet-on-wet blooms and gentle glazing come together in a botanical study on proper cotton paper.
David shows how to steer the paint instead of wrestling it — palette setup, water load and timing taught as calm steps you can repeat at home.

Meet your mentor
David paints botanicals most mornings before the shutters go up. His watercolour room runs quiet and encouraging — happy accidents are openly welcomed as part of the method.
Is watercolour harder than acrylic?
It behaves differently, not harder. We teach water control first, which removes most beginner frustration in the opening hour.
Can I frame my botanical study?
Yes — your study is painted on proper cotton paper sized for standard frames, and we show you the best way to flatten and store it.
